Looking at the few screens already released looks like they aren't a feature. Still looks cool though :)
I didn't get that feeling.
If they showed sims living in a house on the beach, I might.
But they actually look like they are at a resort, or community lot. - No I’m happy either way, I loved resorts but I’m so interested to see what new things they have. As I’ve mentioned before I really want surfing.

I'd be plummed off TBH, but I'd settle for rental lots if I have to. If there's no way to officially holiday there (which IMO would be plain bizarre) then I'd have to give serious thought as to whether I purchase it.
Sorry, that sounded a bit pompous didn't it? I've had a terrible afternoon and I've been in a terrible mood.- tcikes6 years agoNew Spectator

Just read the leaked pack description - definitely not included. They don't look included in the screenshots either, since they seem like small rental lots in the rendered image.

- akl12266 years agoNew SpectatorI liked them in sims 3 but no not a deal breaker at all. I suspect based on pics and description it’s residential anyway which means we can visit it anytime so hotels aren’t really needed in a residential world. Thought that was odd in 3, but managing them was cool.
- No. I love visiting an island as much as anybody but I don't need them there. It's not just a place for tourists to go the islands have their own culture, speed, activities, ect. so I would really want the pack to focus on 'Island Living' then 'Island Visiting'.
Actually what I do want is a Hotel GP with fully fleshed out features that I can add to any world. - logionX6 years agoSeasoned HotshotIf they do hotels though, I hope that they do them well, and not so it just feels like a slightly different shop or vet clinic.
- While hotels would make sense in a tropical-themed world, the dealbreaker for me would more-so be if my Sims can’t live there. I’ll be gravely disappointed if this is a destination world.
I want more energy focused on the tropical-aspect and the tropical-living than the energy being focused on a hotel system. For me, personally, that would just get boring, since I’m not going to be paying much attention to hotels when my Sims are going to be too busy in paradise. - I just want houseboats and a deserted island (castaway island). So freaking disappointed.
