If something new is shown at EA Play regarding The Sims Franchise, what do you think it will be?

Probably Sims Mobile.

I'm a little confused with the whole TS5 idea. Didn't Graham said that now when the big Pets expansion pack is done, they can work on new exciting packs, or something like that? I don't now, I got impression that there's a lot to do with TS4 (and I think so myself), but everybody suddenly talks about TS5... Anyway, it'd be rather odd if they annouce now the game to come in few years, the Sims Mobile is not interesting to me at all, so I hope it's about a new expansion.

Cats & Dogs apparently sold some outrageous amount of copies so I don't think it would be a good business decision to now start from scratch with a new iteration because while the gamers see TS4 as being extremely flawed (it is!) - no one would know that by the money EA makes off of it, which is all EA ultimately cares about. Now onto EA Play - I would not get my hopes up. I highly doubt the next EP will even be beta-ready by June. I suspect there will be news about consoles and mobile and perhaps the ability to play whatever SP or GP for TS4 is on the horizon at that time.

They just released Cats and Dogs, so I don't think it's an ep that they'll be promoting. Also TS4 is selling well and we're still missing a lot of milestones, so I don't think it will be TS5 being announced either. Maybe a new free update? When they released toddlers that freed up a lot of employees, whom they could have reassigned to a new project like this. My bet is on another free update of monumental proportions.

I definitely think the announcement will be Seasons but it would be amazing if they announced the release of TWO expansions at once to really get hype going. This could be the year of 2 expansion packs!

To makeup for the backlash from MFP stuff?

Thereìs some people talking about The Sims 5 being announced, but that seems pretty far fetched!

I honestly feel like TS4 has reached the end of it's rope regarding features. Nothing actually new has been added, in terms of gameplay systems, to this game in a while.

Give it two more years max and I think it'll be time for TS5 to come out. With only two more EP's coming out for TS4. Even the whole kid friendly theme TS4 has going for it is starting to annoy and it begs for something more complex to come to bear.

I still don't see Sims 5 coming for years yet. I've looked up news and it's all hearsay at best.

It's all "I heard this" and "Sims games were released about every 4 years in the past so it's sure to be coming out soon." I've searched and there's nothing - NOTHING - even remotely official apart from the vague comments that they haven't written off Sims 5 happening eventually.

Personally I don't think EA will make a Sims 5. Games take about 4 years to make and are expensive - and lately they've been focusing on porting Sims 4 to every other console, so they wouldn't have the inclination to hire a team to work on a whole new Sims 5 when these ports are making them money hand-over-fist. Why rush? EA doesn't NEED to make a Sims 5 game to milk it.

Some people make the argument that Sims 5 could take advantage of stronger computers. Well it's weird, but that's actually what Cats&Dogs just did - up the specs significantly so that you need a more powerful computer. MID-GAME. So future packs are already suddenly capable of taking advantage of higher specs.

They'll probably promote a new port and tell us which EP/GP we'll get next with teaser pictures.
