If they drop out, can a teen return to school later, before they age up?

Does anyone know if a teen drops out of high school, can they later attend high school again before they age up? I usually play with aging either turned off or on a long setting.

I had my Sim drop out to see what would happen. She had teen years left so maybe that's why she went to Prom a second time even though she wasn't attending HS. I haven't tried to send her back to school again but plan to try to get her back in school or figure out how to graduate.
