- Hexes are a must, along with poison apples. Aside from that I hope they introduce new spells and not like rehashed Vampire powers; like hypnotize, command, or slumber (deprive needs would be cool).
A big part I want is a Skyrim like system where you have to try combinations of ingredients to get potions rather than just spamming study. Of course you can buy recipes, but they would cost a pretty penny. Bonus if the drawbacks for messing up powerful potions are equally bad (life bringing potion could end up as a really deadly poison) - I really want Harry Potter style witches. It would be awesome to have muggles and natural born witches. I would love for children and teens to attend a magical school instead of regular school which would improve their magic skill.
- RoboSpongieNew SpectatorI want a combination of Makin Magic and TS2 Apartments witches
- DomainGoat90New SpectatorI think (and hope) they will go with the ''stereotypical'' witches (pointy hats etc) and the more 'normal/modern' witches like charmed.
I think if they take the vampire system and modify that one, where it let's you pick good/bad/neutral spells will really make the gameplay nice and diverse.
Being able to kinda mix and match the type of witch you want to become will be great. I really liked the good/bad witches thing in Sims 2, so I hope they will bring such thing back.
Evil Sims being able to make Sims sick, put them into negative emotions, curse them etc.
Good Sims being able to make Sims better, make Sims happy, Give Sims skillboost buffs etc.
Neutral Spells like weeding every plant on the lot, harvesting everything on the lot, cleaning the house instantly, fixing broken objects etc.
Witches are the only occult I really still want, so if it ends up like this, I think it will be fun. - Fluteline24New SpectatorI just want them to be different from other Sims. I don't want just any Sim to be able to learn magic - witches need to be a separate lifestate.
- LiELFSeasoned VeteranI'm wishing big for this one.
I'm hoping we get an Expansion pack dedicated to magic, spells, potions, rituals, and a variety of Spellcasters so we can play more than just Witches. I'd really like to be able to choose a specialized branch of magic, like Necromancy, Elemental, Flora/Fauna, Divination, Conjuring, etc. so we can choose what type of Spellcaster we want to play for each Sim. For example, I'd like to be able to make a Voodoo Mambo with Necromancy so she can raise the dead, banish ghosts, curse, create Zombie minions and other things. I'd like to be able to play a Druid who can manipulate plants and vines and speed up growth of gardening or ensnare Sims with vines and turn into a fox or a crow. I'd like a Wizard who can use the weather effects to create lightning, or summon fires or blow Sims over with a gust of wind. I'd like an Enchantress who can bedazzle Sims to do her bidding, bless a family with fertility, or change a Sim's emotions. I'd like to see cantrips like making a broom sweep the house, levitating objects, or getting clean with a snap of the fingers. I want a variety of potions that do all kinds of things like transform into toads, create a "dark form" like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, cause death into instant ghost, age a Sim, make a Sim young, and some mystery potions with unexpected effects. It would also be fun to have spells that can go wrong and backfire if the user hasn't advanced enough and learned it properly. I'd like cauldrons, spellbooks, crystal balls, wands, and staves. I'd like to see fortune telling like "throwing the bones", palm reading, and tarot. And I'd like a variety of familiars. I could go on and on...
There is so much potential in a Magic pack, and that's why I would prefer it to be an Expansion...because I really want the most we could possibly get out of it. - AnmirlaSeasoned Adventurer

This. They shouldn't just be able to pick up a wand and wave it like in TS1. I also never want to see the alignment system again like in TS2. Maybe with the exception of a few abilities that could be options like the Vampire powers/weaknesses system, Witches should be able to cast the same spells. No more straight up good or evil, let them have potential according to the situation they may find themselves at the time.
With traits and powers/weaknesses (and definitely CAS), we should be able to create our own type of spellcaster. Wizard of Oz and Harry Potteresque for those who want them. Wizards/Mages. I want to be able to create White Witches, a Voodoo priestess, a Gypsy Witch, a Native American shaman...
Bring back the Genie lamp, the crystal ball and the Fortune Teller career that usually ties in with Gypsy Witches.
Give us a spellbook with decent functionality (not like the one in TS3). Bring back crafting elixirs and give us the ability to craft charms to gift or sell to other Sims.
Give Witches the ability to raise the dead as Zombies or give living Sims an elixir to turn them temporarily as SLAVES. Not player controlled, but controlled through the Witch. Zombies would not be randomly rising to be annoying and useless.
If Werewolves were added later as well, Witches should have the ability to curse Sims to turn them. After all, that's what Gypsy Witches are famous for! - What I want is the Vampire/Celebrity unlock system to be expanded for PlantSims & Aliens and then the rest of the supernaturals starting with magic. However, what I really want is a full SN expansion that integrates all the unlock trees in a way that allows both limitless hybridization, and allows abilities to be properly balanced with vulnerabilities.
Frankly, the various TS4 dev teams seem oblivious to the idea that game design is more than a marketing slogan. I trust their ability to plan and design something that complex like I trust a toddler to design a space station.
Given their unending quest to give their customers the things absolutely no one asked for, holding your breath waiting for them to go completely out of character and give us magic after 5 years of asking might not be the best idea. "LiELF;c-16972639" wrote:

You're reading my mind ? I want all of this sooo bad.- I want an alchemy skill. Magic duels. and a wide range of spells including old ones introduced in ts3 supernatural and new ones. Bonus point if witches have integration with other occults (Vampires and future occults) More bonus points if mods/cc can make more potions
