- I would go for painting because once you can do high quality classic paintings, you get tons of money from them. Especially when it's a masterpiece.
- I chose writing, mainly because I rather enjoy doing that irl and my selfsim always is a writer.

Sorry, OP. I couldn't resist. I want sculpting so badly. Of the choices that you gave, I guess that the gardening appeals to me the most. It seems more...active...than the other options, I gues -- more animations and things to do, I mean. - I enjoy gardening the most. Then writing, but I like to keep books I wrote titles and content for. Fishing is cool for collection. Painting isn't money challenging for me. Retails I don't have.
- My skill of choice is woodworking. I enjoy making my own furniture and all the wooden sculptures, not to mention that with OR installed crafting Camping mascots generates a simoleon output close to a or even better than that of a dedicated painter.
Gardening is a close second. - Painting makes the most money, doesn't stress sims out, and is the easiest. I've had 2 sims I played long term who were painters, 1 who made it to an elder and 1 who died of old age.
- ck2138 years agoLegendIt's really a tie between writing and painting, but I had to choose one.
It will be a three way tie with Gardening if we ever get Nectar making at or beyond the level we had it in The Sims 3.
I loved having my sims grow their own produce to be used to make nectar. - WyntirNox8 years agoNew VeteranPainting. As long as you make the sim creative, they love it. Easy way to keep fun up, and make money.
Fun side note: I had a criminal sim running a "counterfeit painting ring". Basically I bought a ton of easels, made a painting club, filled it up with randoms... and let the simoleons roll. The's uh.. quite wealthy now. >:) - ck2138 years agoLegend

I had something similar going on.
I had a painting club in an art museum.
My cat sim was a kleptomaniac (car burglar) and would go in at night and steal the paintings.
She got more money and the art club had motivation to replace all the stolen paintings.
It's a win/win situation. ;) - Hermitgirl8 years agoSeasoned AceWell I'm glad we have all the ways but yeah Painting is easy to get in the mood to do if you care to make your sims inspired.. usually adds fun (does if a sim is creative), and it's pretty easy to make good money from it.
Most of my sims garden and they reduced the money made through that.. and it's harder on them. That would still be second on my list though. Third is writing, mostly because it can be kind of boring but is really nice in a larger household. You set a sim down to write a book and forget about them for awhile while you focus on other family members. It's also fun to name your books.
