If you have Cats & Dogs, are you getting My First Pet Stuff?

I never buy stuff packs for the stuff; thus far it's always been for the gameplay items. The other stuff (CAS, CAP, Build/buy) are truly "extras" for me. So the fact that it's allegedly ripped off/recolored meshes, etc. is of no concern to me personally.

If the rodents had been like the rodents in previous games, this would be a clear "pass" for me. However, there appears to be more depth to the little critters this time around, plus, well, a highly contagious disease Sims can actually die from? Both of those interest me, so yes, I will be getting this stuff pack. Maybe not tomorrow, but at some point for sure.

The rodents and disease interest me very much, how cute is that bubalus! But even if I usually buy stuff packs based on gameplay, the buy mode is setting me back a bit... I don't really like the furniture style. Still I'm definitely getting this pack at one point. How soon, will depend on what's going on in my game and how badly my sims need a rodent.

I'm kind of the same as OP that I haven't played a lot with cats and dogs. I doubt new pet clothing will change that. I took a long sim break at the start of this year and I'm just getting back into it so there's still a lot to explore.

No, I am not getting it for various reasons, one reason none of the items interest me not even the Fish table and Hamster that is used as an anchor and carrot, also the pack is full of recolors. If the pack is sold at 3.99 I might reconsider but I will not pay full price.

I will be purchasing today. I totally agree with those who feel this stuff should have been included with Cats and Dogs however. This better not be a trend or I will be unhappy. With that being said, I've watched more reviews for this stuff pack than any other in the past and there are things I definitely want in my game. Absolutely in love with aquarium table, love the rodents and how detailed they made them over past games, and there is a good handful of CAS/build items that I like. I went into it being an informed consumer. The Sims 4 is my main hobby and I love the game so much. I hope that we will never see such a divisive pack in the future. This is a life simulator after all. There are literally thousands of topics they could cover in any pack!!

Yes, I'm gonna buy this. I love the items that come with it (aquarium table Im looking at you!) and as I own Cats&Dogs I don't mind at all its dependance on it

Yes I'm looking forward to it. I will be checking out the different rodent types later today. I can though use these little guys and the disease/death in my stories for sure.

Yes, I will be buying it. I am conflicted over the issues with this SP. I don't know if it was a money grab. I tend to think more on business terms. The SP, GP, and EP teams have deadlines. They don't just issue a pack whenever they feel like it. I don't know if perhaps resources got diverted, key staff were on leave, or if they just phoned this one in, but I think something more happened. Of course, we will never be told what might have caused it.

That being said, I am looking forward to the pack as I have wanted minor pets. I was hoping for more pets and more interactive, but animation does seem to be the Archilles heel of TS4.

@SageRainWillow , You make an excellent point! The deadline is key in most businesses (and school for that matter). It is not ideal for us, but it isn't all "doom and gloom" like many are acting. I'm not going to loose sleep over it. So they recolored a few things. I can't tell you how many things I own , like pairs of jeans, that are the exact size, cut, brand, etc. that differ only in their color! ;) In this pack I'm happy to have small pets that are a little more involved than the small pets in other versions of the Sims. I love making families, so most of these items will be perfect for my Sims' homes. Finally I already have Cats & Dogs, so that isn't a problem for me. I do feel bad for those who really wanted hamsters, or some sort of small pet, that don't have and don't want Cats & Dogs. :(

Ahoy PugLove! Once again it seems we're on the same wavelength haha! I'm definitely getting this pack too -- I'm a total sucker for anything and everything animal related. Checking out that article on SimsVIP I totally see what they mean. Really the evidence is...alarming? Not alarming... Concerning? Personally, I get what they were going for with this pack. It's like... Cats & Dogs meets Kids Room Stuff. From what I can tell this pack is kid-centric, which will flesh out my own game quite nicely (since I skipped most SPs, including Kids Room Stuff). I feel bad for the gurus and team members who have to take the fall for and try to explain what in my opinion is obviously a "boss-man" decision from way on up the ladder. I'm one of those folks who also can feel for the people who are outraged by this (or even just a tiny bit miffed), but I just personally love how this pack looks. To be honest, I'm anticipating at least two more pet-themed packs -- a more generalized "small pets" game/stuff pack and a farming game pack. But that's just pure conjecture lol
