- Vampires are undead and to me should be unique and not be plagued by the same type of things a so called living Sim would be plagued with. I am against undead sims or any other "creature" Sim being too much like the living, normal, sort of human sim. Injury and illness should be unique to the kind of sim one is playing - and different in my view.
I do like the fact creature sims can have babies (they are just to cute and precious not to have) but some where we need to draw the line from the Creature sims to the so called living, normal sims or at least options to not allow our creatures to be just like living sims. I enjoy the uniqueness and differences I feel between normal sims and all the rest and I would like the option to at least be there because I don't want my creatures just like my ordinary sims. - annaliese39New SpectatorMy vampire sim has only been ill once, which I did think was odd but didn't really bother me that much. I agree vampires should be immune to human illnesses, but also agree that vampire lore is very versatile and it's better for players to have options regarding their vampires strengths and weaknesses and how 'human' they are. Honestly I kind of wish my vampires were less immune to things, such as temperature, not so they become ill but so they change their clothing accordingly. My vampire is rather precious and likes a nice home with central heating rather than a cold, dank castle.
- My Vamps also like a sort of Victorian style homes as well - not castles but maybe a stone cellar for a few well placed coffins that is light on the light factor for a thorough recharge of their energies. I also like them to have a nice regular Victorian bedroom as well. I don't do the modern Vamps or the castles - but do enjoy seeing others takes on such places in the gallery or on you tube at times. It is fun to see others take on other eras even when I have a different play style for Vamps.

For me, the kind of home my vampires inhabit all comes down to personality. A hip vamp who likes to roll with the times or a rather young vampire will usually have a modern/contemporary sort of home, while an older vampire or one who just likes things really Goth or fancy will usually have a castle or a Victorian mansion in my game. It's all in who they are.- keekee53New SpectatorYeah it bugs me. To make things worse, I feel like they are sick more than my normal sims. I really hope they address it at some point.

My vampire sims never get sick XD its acutally annoying because I want one to go for a doctor appointment XD
You are lucky. Mine have been getting sick. It has been a while since I played my vamps, maybe they fixed it. I am not sure we will ever see them at the hospital since most sims are there during the day for the doctor career. - keekee53New Spectator

Unless it's like some supernatural plague or something, Vampires shouldn't get sick at all.
agreed - My sim is a vampire & sick. I gave her medicine 7 times, i made her drink tea and nothing worked. What should I do?

Or something.
True but I have yet to hear any vampire lore where a vampire got a human illness. If they coded in immortality for those with the vampire trait, I think they could have done the same with illness.
I think exactly what a vampire can and can't do is always up in the air. Whenever I write about vampires, I always have it so that they can get some minor illnesses, like a cold, but nothing deadly or permanent. Then again, I also always have my vampires needing to eat normal human food along with occasional blood, and completely able to get a sun tan without dying a slow death (Hey, Dracula could go out in the daylight in the original novel, so why not?) Anyway, to me it makes sense that a vampire can get illnesses in this game. The illnesses are minor, eventually go away, and make for a good laugh (at least for me). But, I understand why many people disagree.
Yeah I will agree to disagree on this one. It doesn't make sense to me that a vampire who is technically not alive would get a human illness. I sort of stopped playing my vamps because it bugs me so much. - I really thought that sim vampires couldn't get sick, kids and toddlers maybe, but I didn't think that adult and teen vampire sims could get until I saw that my vampire (who is a young adult) got sick. I do find it kind of weird that they can get sick but since this is the first and the only vampire that I have seen sick I'm not too bothered by it.
