I see sims vampirism more like a viral transmission. They're not dead, they never die from a bite. They gain powers and taste for plasma. The vampire inoculates his virus to others. There is a transformation and a cure. It is quite strange that they can get ill from the flu or a cold. Logically, we would think that a virus that gives superpowers won't let a flu virus live into the organism.
It's even wearder to see a gost take a shower, eat grilled cheeze, pee and sleep ! HaHa
These are the sims, but it could have been worked differently.
Or else, could it be a bug ?- It's still not fixed IIRC some dev was looking into this issue long time ago but i'm surprised that it's still not fixed.
