I used to be afraid of it too :)
Then I read a guide and it's actually very simple:
1) don't use the suit
2) befriend the bees
3) they will sting you anyway, anytime, no matter if you maxed the relationship bar - it's nothing terrible, not that yor Sim can die or anything :)
