I'm Completely Scandalized!

I'm not completely scandalized, per se, but I am slightly aghast at the fact that my sim keeps calling her child-aged son to ask if she should have a baby with his father. Once was enough, but the fact that she repeatedly does it almost any time he goes off of their home lot is creating problems for my storytelling.

I have sims call at all hours asking that stupid baby question to, I hate the phone calls thing and wish they would find another way to make your sims seem " more real". So Scandalized...that is a hard one for me bc I like a little scandal in the game and sometimes feel it is a little to wholesome for my taste. I would have to say when Flower Bunny called my Sim and said he had a crush on Summer Holiday and asked if he should ask her out. lol.

:lol: @Spend4zen, I've had Father Winter call sims in my game 3 times so far with that romance NS message. One time he was even asking if he should get married. I really wish they would flag the 'special' holiday townies as off limits for NS.

I've only had the baby thing happen twice. One was Bella Goth, and although I said, no, I let it happen when I played her next. But Katrina Caliente called Nina with that question. Considering Katrina has already raised a third daughter up through her teen years, I assumed it was a little late in life.

It scandalized me a bit when one of my young adult Sims developed a crush on her elderly college professor, although that was due to a mod.

Well... On the priest’s defense, it’s just a crush— as long as he hasn’t acted on that crush— no harm imo.
I don’t think it’s wrong to crush while involved— but it is wrong to act on it. But whatevs.

Eh, almost everything they do, makes me wonder lol..

1. The Santos household
A married couple, he is a cop and she is a writer, went to the Romance festival recently, leaving their toddler in daycare. While sitting at a picnic table enjoying bowls of ramen soup, another Sim, an unemployed university dropout who likes island carnival parties and has long flowing blonde hair and is a very handsome Sim for sure, sat down at the table and joined them and Mrs just started flirting with him uncontrollably in front of her husband, who became very angry and started yelling at her. So I made them finish their Japanese soup and sent them home. They didn't even get to try the punch or throw some petals around I was not having it. Then he had a wounded and festering grudge against his wife and stomped around the house while she kept trying to apologize. Luckily, he got over it and she is pregnant again with baby 2, but that other Sim keeps calling her.

2. The Pancakes household
Eliza Pancakes was vacuuming the main floor when she got a visitor, Daniel Pleasant, with a paper bag on his head due to the NAP. He is married to Mary-Sue with twin teen daughters. She had never met him before in this save and he is a neighbor, so she invited him in to say hello and chat. As they were chatting in the living room I switched to the kids playing upstairs and doing homework and next thing I knew those two had romance bars almost at 50%. She just fell head over heels for him without even seeing his face he's wearing a paper bag on his head! He started coming around almost every day and calling her constantly. Now that the bag is off his head this is a red-headed affair and I wonder if Bob will divorce her finally for the first time in my game. While this was going on, Bob Pancakes got a call from Betty Newbie asking him out on a date. I decided to let him go on a platonic date just to get out of the house because I felt so sorry for him. When he got to her date location, a Brindleton Bay cliffside rave party that was totally not suitable for these middle aged adults, I realized Bob had never even met her before since he had to introduce himself to her. As Bob got to know her, he realized she is married to Bob Newbie. Did she text the wrong Bob for a date and meant to text her husband? Bob Pancakes politely called the date off and went home embarrassed from her attempt to flirt with him. Betty then sent him a text message the next day professing her undying love for him or something and keeps calling him for another date but he keeps hanging up on her. When I checked her house she is madly in love with Bob Pancakes and I have no idea how. Actually, yes I do know how, neighborhood stories update, that's how, and it also put her a mid-life crisis she is going to cliffside rave parties..

I am curious as to how you have created a priest in the game. What traits have you used? Do you have a church and club members for the congregation? Wouldn't mind doing something like that myself.

As for your scandal, well, we are all human..well, sims aren't actually human, but you know what I mean :grin:

About a year ago, my hybrid Alien/Spellcaster when to Batuu & got some female Batuu townies, Resistance & First Order pregnant. He ended up fathering about 10 to 15 children. He was a very naughty guy. Lol :D >:) :p

While not quite as dramatic as what's happening in your game, Erik caught Kayleigh flirting autonomously the day after they got engaged! I do blame the game for this. It was a FIRST for this couple and made me very upset, besides. My Sims marry for life. If things start going wonky while they're dating, I have them call it off. But once they're engaged and married, it's for keeps.

I've told the story in another thread, but Father Winter has been the source of more than one scandalous scenario in my saves. He flirts outrageously when he's not doing his Winterfest duties, showing no preference for women or men. He seems irresistible to many Sims; in one save, a young wife made no attempt to hide her infatuation for the jolly old fellow, even with her husband right there in the room.
