I completed the aspiration once. It is one of the most difficult, because it is so tedious to catch all the types of fish. You can sell the fish after they have been caught, makes no difference. I would advise to max the handiness skill, so you can enter the Grotto. I would also advise to get a yoga mat, the "Mind Concentrating" routine will give your sim a focused moodlet for 8 hours, which helps with fishing. I also kept frogs and produce in my sims inventory for bait.
