I'm worried about open worlds

Island Paridise messed up my game even when I played other worlds, if there was water nearby they would take a boat instead of their usual path to get from A to B. Thinking about it now I guess pets didn't help matters either. They were constantly getting stuck somewhere. Festivals were sometimes busy sometimes not. I think the older my game got the less sims showed up at the festivals. I still miss having open world though. I always thought sims 3 gave up detail on animations to handle open world so was disappointed we didn't get those detailed animations back with the loading screens.
Anyway Treebrooke, I am sure we will not get worlds anymore open in sims4 than what they are now.
