They did hire Luumia on the EA team recently who is known for body hair CC. Actually like how they are supporting the mod community more.

He was hired to do trailers so no, it has nothing to do with body hair. On top of that, he's body hair was too realistic for the style of the sims and work like that isn't done by one person only. You need an artist to conceptualize how the body hair would look in terms of textures and shape first, much like they do for hair, and then someone else to do the textures, tech behind it and someone else for the CAS UI.
