In CAS, how do I make a Sim (e.g. from the gallery) into a mermaid?

I've done this before but for the life of me can't figure out how. If I start with a human gallery sim but want to make them a mermaid, how do I "transfer" their look onto a mermaid, or how do I cha...

Thank you, I will try that. It's really tedious though. Say I download a Sim from the gallery for looks only - for example a Sim that looks like a celebrity or movie/tv show character. And I want to make them a mermaid. That option should be in CAS. It's another oversight to leave out that option. Annoying.
