In Get Famous is there a way you can keep you sim from getting fired from their job?

That's only with chance cards. There's different new chance cards where you can possibly adavce more in your career and gain fame and another where you'll gain fame but lose your job. You can choose tonignorebthem and they have no effect.

@LadyKyn ...how do you ignore them if they pop up? In Parenthood, I don’t know how to ignore the cards, it doesn’t seem to give me a choice, do the Get Famous ones give you a way to ignore them?

(I don't have Get Famous yet) Depends is your sim in the Painting career? If they're they might have a "special" chance card..which is fame(?) related. I know over in the EP area someone had their chef(?) sim work in the culinary career and they got a specail chance card and the thing was that I think it was a wedding's planned cater cancelled at nearly last-minute so they called (sim's) employer to see about hiring their company and the simmer's sim had the choices of 1)hiring through their employer or 2) doing it themselves.

It's an option on the chance card in Get Famous as there's two options. Everything will continue unchanged if you choose the second option.

@MadameLee ..... so it does give you a choice? Now to figure out which choice will be the best I guess..... I wonder if there is a thread about which choices are best.

I know the writing career has one where a movie company wants to make your sims' book into a movie but there's a catch that I think(?) you have to give up the rights to the story. Don't know about the two choices in that one (but I think the 2nd choice is don't give up the rights to the story which means no movie). You might want to ask down in the EP section

You'll have a choice in the matter, but saying no means you won't get any fame from it. You could still easily get famous by other means.

Also, the one I got that would result in my sim being fired, it was VERY clear they would be fired if I chose that option. I wish I'd grabbed a screenshot so I could show it.

Do any of you know, if the higher painter you are in your career will help you succeed more with chance cards? Or does reputation help you succeed?
