"Inappropriate" behavior

Yeah, they made this awfully broad when they added it to the game. It shouldn't apply to strong friendships, family, or club members where cooking is a club activity.

Probably just another thing EA didn't think through. You'd think family members and close friends could feel right at home when visiting you, and vice-versa, but nope. If you want to be able to do what you want at your friends and family's houses, you need to get the reward trait "always welcome". Which is something at least... Not sure if it works with households that you aren't currently playing though, like if you get that trait for grandma and then switch households and your sims won't get offended anymore when she cooks at their house. Never tried it myself.

I'm not keen on this either. I think it was also tuned to stop sims repairing items for their neighbours.

They needed a reason for the always welcome trait. It was quite useless in the game if you can do anything in anybody's house. But I agree, I didn't like it in TS3 and I don't like it now.

I wasn't happy they tweaked it to make it inappropriate .. but people complained it wasn't appropriate and there you go. I am glad though that we have a trait as Cinebar mentioned "always welcome" that allows it... I kind of wish the game had started out like that though. I don't like when they take away stuff we get use too.

Well yes, that trait makes more sense now. But I still don't understand why there can't be an exception for friends and family members. I got pretty frustrated when my sim was spending the evening at her fiances house and he kicked her out when she wanted to cook dinner for them. I've had to change my gameplay a lot after this was patched in. Not a fan.

Yes, this is highly annoying. My Sim, who was a gourmet chef, goes to cook dinner for his mother and is thrown out the kitchen by his sister. But when he and his wife decide to woohoo in the hall closet, everyone just stands around and laughs.

So Sims don't like good food being made especially for them, but random body fluids on their coats is totally fine.

It's definitely not a bug. I think it's kind of inappropriate to just go over to your neighbor's house and make yourself some scrambled eggs.

But I do think there should be an exception if you have a high relationship with the sim in the house or if they are family.

But hey, EA can't get everything right!

Id think taking a shower in someone elses home innapropiate, but I just tried to get my hygine down and then Olivia Spincer Kim Lewis's mom says: Thats innapropiate, get out of our tub!

I don't like the "inappropriate" behavior they have added. At least, I can buy the trait on all my Sims. I rarely buy traits so I have enough points for that. But I don't like that they all end up in the personality panel. I wish the personality traits were visually distinct from the gameplay traits.
