This is the first time I've had a Toddler complain about the music being loud. He's the youngest of six kids, the eldest three are now teens, first the twins boys and then the first daughter. He's got two Child sisters, too. As it happens a quirk will popup and a certain Sim will play music as loud as possible. I've had two of the older kids do this. So at the moment, I cannot say for sure which one is guilty for the stereo blasting, causing Peter some consternation. This is Peter, but not the picture I thought I'd taken. He was really huffy, stamping his little foot over and over. Oh, well, not the first shot I've failed to capture. (Just for the record, I didn't make him deaf. He aged up from Infant with the hearing aids on. I thought I had removed them, but it must have been on only one of his outfits. Guess I have my work cut out for me.) I have really mixed feelings about whether or not he should have a hearing impairment. What I don't have mixed feelings about is the game randomly assigning such things to my born in game Sims, which is why I removed them post haste.

Peter is cute 💗It is sounds like he wasn’t very happy when he heard the very loud music!

No, he sure wasn't. I'm just sorry I didn't capture the picture I thought I had. Oi. Tantrums in the game are on the cute side, just not in reality when the irate child must go into isolation until they calm down and can act like a human being again. Or is that an oximoron?

Actually it fits Peter, maybe it's adjusted wrong why he is over sensitive with loud music. 🙂

With this I am the opposite. Thing like this would have not even come to my mind unless game reminded it is there. 😊 Sort of stepping out of my norms and all the same and the same all over again. Gladly no right or wrong way of playing 😊

Truly, I agree, there is no right or wrong way to play. For those who asked for such devices, that's great. I would never campaign against them. I'm just railing because EA has made a lot of changes, that they imparted wouldn't affect the players, directly. This is proving not to be so. It should be my choice. My daughter got spared hearing aids when she was an infant. Born without hearing issues, she fell prey to ear infections. Placing tubes in her ears sparred her hearing. The choice should be mine.

They way I do Hearing aids on my sims is if they get them on their everyday outfits on age up then roll a number between 1 and 100. 50 and below they get hearing aids for their entire life and above they don't. The exceptions are certain occults like ghosts, Vampires or any occult that are undead. He's cute as well and I can see he is wearing a batuu outfit :)

Interesting concept you have. My thoughts about his tantrum over the loud music, is that perhaps, since my game is set somewhere in the 23rd century, is that in his toddlerhood he was deemed old enough for a highly specialized, but risky, bit of surgery to reverse the defect. That he is just home from the hospital, and since he was only used to feeling the music, not hearing it, he is understandably upset at the pain in his wee ears. Not sure, though, if I'll run with this plot.

I do like that plot. Up to you though how it will go :)
