Inherited traits

I searched for a post on this on here but all that came up were posts from sims 3.

One of my sim families had their infant son just age up to toddler and I noticed on his traits that he had the one I gave him, Fussy, and one he inherited from his mother, Fertile. Now I know it's possible for them to inherit Sickness Resistance from a parent who is a doctor but this is the first time I've seen Fertile come up as an inherited trait.
I just thought it was odd that it came up on a toddler as opposed to it appearing later in their lives like as young adults.

Is it normal for an adult trait to be inherited by such a young sim?

What other traits are inheritable?
  • Do you have mccc? There is a setting in there that allows toddlers to inherit traits.

It is if you use the MCCC mod and have it enabled, @PastelMermaid. The setting, from MC Command at a computer (or typing MC_Settings in cheat box) is under MC Pregnancy->Offspring. Default is that it is turned off, so you only see it happen if you go in and turn it on.

Not sure how OP got the trait inherited if she does't have MCCC with the setting enabled, and it's odd she's here asking about it if she did enable it. *shrug*

It can easily be done. I suddenly saw my toddlers inheriting the traits and didn't know why until I was looking through the settings. I clearly enabled it at some point but then forgot about it. With so many things going on in game I probably wasn't paying too much attention.
  • Thank you all. I do have MCCC installed and like @simm621 mentioned I also enabled it and forgot all about it.
