Insufficient funds
Some reason can't buy anything for my house, some reason it says insufficient funds even though i have money

I had the same issue and i did not want to purchase a new expansion pack in order to fix the issue so I was able to fix it by just evicting the household and then once I did that I clicked “build” on the lot. Once it takes you to the house the i symbol should be at the top and in order to fix the problem you need to switch lot type from generic to Residential.
