Is Anyone Else Confused by the Course Schedule?

I'm trying to decipher the course schedule for each class. Is it the day in bold, or the day in not quite grayed out? I sincerely thought my Sim was to go to class, but there's no way to send him, un...

The Uni UI is awkward to read but the classes show up on the calendar from Seasons and it's a lot better.
