I don't think devs are to blame for players who can't handle any pushback from their game.

So the players decide what's in the game, do they?
They've ignored a ton of things that need fixing, tweaking, integration, etc, yet
set aside the time just to nerf occults (Aliens, Vampires) and create disastrous integrations (Plantsims). They aren't your friends. They aren't helpless lambs at the mercy of the big bad whiners. Ninja
himself told you they made the choice. You were there.
Where they could redirect their energies into flipping the switch back and using one of their many, many solutions:
- an NPC who tells players how to prevent abductions and attacks upon starting a new game, and/or sells the means.
- A pop-up with the information (on a new save).
- A lot challenge/trait.
- Adding alarms to prevent intrusion.
- Making the events cancellable.
--they don't. There's no
good reasoning for it. The game will eventually run out of time, and they've made no strides (save for a door lock whilst keeping vampires nerfed) towards resolution. They're content to watch you growl at every possible mention of complaint or nerfing.

yes people who like things in the game should just let people who complain have there way and not say a word

You've just made it an "us vs. them" scenario. One person has an issue and wants to seek out any kindred spirits, and all of a sudden it's the same thread about "nerfs!!!", rather than a complaint thread or a help thread. OP didn't even mention nerfing, just that they've had a bad experience with it. At some point you have to notice when you're scrubbing 100-year-old dishes.
