@Dannydanbo I get your overall sentiment, which is why I said I would reserve my excitement for the content until I knew what it was, but where did they say that these additions would be representative of the entirety of gay culture?
I found this on the SimsVIP site:
The Sims is proud to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community with a new partnership with the It Gets Better Project, a non-profit organization and global movement to provide hope and encouragement to LGBTQ+ youth. Beginning on June 18th, players will be able to access exclusive It Gets Better and pride in-game clothing in The Sims 4 on PC, The Sims FreePlay and The Sims Mobile, as well as a variety of pride items, including a gender-neutral bathroom door in The Sims 4. Look for this content to come to The Sims 4 on consoles in July.
If you can tell me how a gender neutral bathroom door will "encourage" gay youths to be proud of who they are, then you are far smarter than me. "So, you're a young, newly out gay person. Here, use this gender neutral bathroom door and feel all the encouragement it gives you to be yourself." Seriously?
And I'm still waiting for a guru/dev to explain this bull to me and, just so you know, I'll not stop until I get an explanation. So circle your wagons, gird your loins and come up with something that you can explain that will pass as a half decent reason for this insult.
Ok, so no one claimed the items they're adding are representative of the entirety of gay culture. I was only asking a question and I am not claiming to be smarter than anyone. And I am truly sorry that you apparently expected more from this free update and feel disrespected. Hope you'll get your questions answered.
