I mostly dislike idle animations that are repetitive or reused and feels like they are very out of context, like the "yawn" and "a-ha" that they added recently to show if the sim likes the room around them, or the laugh that sims do to show that they are happy, it makes them look like psychopaths. I use a less smiling mod to tone down sims smiling all the time too.
Reused animations bother me a lot when I feel that they don't make sense, like when the cafeteria vendor in Discover University shouts like they are standing in a market stand like...why? Imagine if someone did that in a cafeteria. Or the fact that some animations are the same but they talk about different things, you should be able to somewhat tell what they are talking about. I think for example that "discuss good book" and "compliment appearance" are the same animation, like...whuh?
Sometimes they do a good job, like the "talking about crafting" animation from eco lifestyle, and sometimes they don't... like the reused sims sniffing in the air in bust the dust, which looks weird, and they seem to do it way too often too.
