I find those comical animations very funny, but after a time I get tired of them, I would like to see more realistic animations, like when they cook in the sims 2 :*
I would get tired of all animations after some time. Gameplay is more important then opening drawer I think.
But for some of us, that's part of gameplay. I love TS2 because I can see my sims opening the cabinets and drawers. When they play chess, they actually play a game of chess that you can watch and see who the real winner is, which is reflected in the game. The clocks tell the correct game time. There are a lot of tiny details that make the game more charming, in my opinion. TS3 started cutting those animations and TS4 completely left everything out and then reused nearly every animation for other things at least twice.
Yea I LOVE the details. The more animations the better. I just personally don't like the extra silliness because it's hard to make a variety of characters without ruining the immersion
