I do sometimes wish I could have my Sims being a little serious when they flirt, instead of the constant playful flirting animations we have now. And during those moments, I try to rein them in a little. But that's Sims 4. Cheerful, playful and a bit cartoony. It *is* possible to have a romantic/emotional moment without constantly smiling. But this is just a personal peeve of mine.
And as for the cooking animations... sigh. My neat Sim with a 10 in both cooking and gourmet food skill would not sneeze in the food they're preparing or poke around in their ear during the preparation. These are some of those I wish they could have kept moderate.
The friendly duel between spellcasters, that ends with the winner sending the loser flipping around in the air and smashing them into the ground? Yikes. I've yet to engage in an unfriendly duel, so I can only imagine how that one ends (the same animation, but with minus points?). An animation where the loser stumbles to the ground and the winner pulls them up and dusts them off would have suited me better.
Otherwise, I'm just okay with most of them. My recurring issue will probably be that they never lose those weird smiles on their faces during a romantic moment, unless a moodswing takes over. Only the normal woohoo animation makes me cringe a bit. It's been a while, so I don't remember if they act the same when it comes to showers, tubs, bushes and whatever.
