Is For Rent safe to play if I don't play on a rental lot?

I purchased For Rent, but haven't really been playing it because of the bugs and save corruption. I've been getting the itch to play the Sims 4 again, but I don't want to deal with the save corruption...

I started a new save with my simself as a single college girl. I do have FR installed and I chanced placing down one single rental residential with 3 units. I placed the sims from manage world and have never gone back to the lot. So far, I'm not having any issues, but I do a "save as" at the end of every game session to be safe. Oh I've been playing this save for about 8 sim weeks now. So far so good.
