I actually remember voting for knitting. But the thing is it was the best in a list of bad options. I mean glass fabrication? really EA haha how many objects will we want to make out of glass. Then there was edible art which sounds great but we have so much cooking, gourmet cooking, baking so I didn't want anything else you had to cook.
As for Embroidering I don't know I think it is a hard choice especially for international players. I'm from Europe and even though I speak English I 100% did not know what Embroidering meant when I was voting. Sure I could have googled it but it was more convinient to just choose something else.
I was between sculpting and knitting but I chose knitting because of how little "elder" gameplay there is.
If the options had been stuff like sewing I would have chosen that for sure.
