Is it me or is the Jealousy trait more of a nuisance than anything else..?

I tend to play at least one negative trait per sim but 'Jealousy' is just plain annoying. Even a long room can make the sim anxious. It's like severe mental illness.

I don't want perfect sims like you see on YouTube LP's, all cc'd up to look like barbie dolls with mansions etc. I want a challenge. I want the sims to have obstacles. That's life. But a trait that is constantly annoying is a bit much.
