Is it possible to adopt relatives with the Life and Death Pack?

I think "adopt as a caregiver" comes with Parenthood gamepack, it doesn't change family tree but kids can get those relationship bits that came with the pack when growing young adults (like daddy dearest etc.).

Then if I remember right, Growing Together introduced a new way to adopt and it also changes the family tree so previous parents disappear etc. Can't remember if this was patched to basegame or is it ep exclusive.
