Is it safe to update our game today? ( 7/24-24 )

I've seen a lot of posts about the patch breaking gameplay, and I tried to figure out if it now was fixed, but I'm still struggling a little with finding my way around this new forum.

The only bug I've experienced so far is the Sims being autonomously mean to one another - its affecting both my Sims' moods and relationships! 👎

  • I updated my game yesterday but I wanted to see if there were any issues before playing . . . and now I know there are some pretty serious ones. I won't open my game until I know these problems are sorted. I imagine they'll fix the UI simology panel/crashing issue quickly as otherwise no one will be able/want to play the new EP tomorrow . . .

  • My game is running fine right now. I can change clothes with the dresser on anyone in town. I had to do a second update after the initial update. Did anyone else have to update their game twice?

I'm playing an old save with all my cc and mods in the game.

  • Thank you all for the replies, I am really tempted to buy the new expansion pack and play, but it seems like a lot still are having issues in game :(

  • Probably not. Better wait till they release the pack, maybe the issues will be solved with the pack install.

  • I'd avoid updating just yet if you can

at least thats what I am doing now because I really don't want to add things that might harm my old save

  • I updated my game, but have not yet played. There are two major bugs right now. The really bad one is a factor if you have the Parenthood pack. The character values for toddlers through teens is glitchy. As Bonnie has mentioned below, this one is actively being worked on. Once we get a fix for this, I will feel safe opening my game. I'm really hoping this happens before the pack releases tomorrow!

The other major glitch is Sims autonomously being mean to one another when they don't have the mean trait and there's no other reason for them to act meanly. I'm hyper vigilant with my Sims, so I'm not as worried about this one. If need be, I'll turn off autonomous mean actions in MCCC.
