- Karamazov123Seasoned HotshotDungeons are randomly generated, and some locations are only accessible after visiting a couple of timses. Dungeon puzzles change each time.
I had a puzzle that involved swimming. Another time, I was making drinks at a bar, trying to open doors without activating traps, and finding treasure. The goal is always the same: solve puzzles and get to the treasure at the end. But while the trips are fairly similar in purpose, playthroughs will be different each time.
If you're JUST interested in archeology, that can be done anywhere in Selvadorada. So you can avoid the jungle and temples - DaWaterRatNew VanguardGordy has it right for the most part, though the "puzzles" were... disappointingly simple for me. (at most you're making a single logical conclusion, otherwise it's just a barely educated guess.)
Of course, you can try to bully your way past the puzzles and have your sim get hurt (or even killed - note, have a "partner" sim with you if you plan to do this, or your household will loose anything left in the temple... don't ask how I know. :) - atreya33Seasoned AceYou can explore the jungle and use a machete to cut through overgrown gates to unlock new locations. The most important one is the temple. Your sim has to examine the objects and try to find the right trigger. In the beginning you won't find triggers all and sometimes have to guess. A wrong guess can get your sim poisoned but you should have enough time to get a cure. I believe 3 days. Building up skills like logic, handiness, charisma and fitness increases the chance of finding the correct trigger. At the end of the temple you can find a treasure.
There are 5 variants of the temple. The other locations in the jungle stay the same but there are always two locked. The locked locations change randomly with each vacation. You need more than one vacation to see them all.
After a few trips, the jungle can become repetitive. For me that was time to leave the treasure hunt for what it is for a few months. After this break it was fun to return for a few trips. Of course it is always possible to use selvadorada as a vacation spot without going into the jungle. You can visit the bar or museum. Or change an existing lot to another public lot to visit like a spa, a lounge, a pool,... I also really like the build buy and cas from this pack.
I would say jungle adventure is a simlish variant of tomb raider. You need to find your way and collect items. The treasures are a new collection, and there is an archeology collection again. There is a small chance of getting poisoned but you can easily find a remedy. - atreya33Seasoned AceYou get a pop up when you open the main treasure chest in the temple. It's the one that glows a bit. You can stay as long as you like in the temple but once you leave the temple is locked. You have to wait 24 hours before you can return to the lot. After 24 hours it is reset and you can explore it again. You need to find the right triggers to unlock the doors and can find a new treasure chest. My sims are able to visit the temple 3 times during a 1 week vacation in selvadorada.
Your screenshot looks great with interesting builds, like a real travel brochure. - This thread has reignited my interest in Selvadorada. I've only explored once. And that was back in 2018 when Jungle Adventure was released. Maybe my newlyweds will honeymoon there. ?
- JestTruSeasoned NewcomerThis is one pack I really enjoyed exploring. I'm not sure if it's like Tomb Raider but it does have a feel of it with solving puzzles.
You can also try and get those sun statue and plate collections with took a long time for my archeological Sim to complete. - atreya33Seasoned Ace

Same here, this thread has made me want to go to the jungle again. I even finished the jungle map I had started during my last trip to the jungle. Ironically, after spending time in the jungle to take screenshots , I don't need the map anymore.
In case anyone wants some help finding their way into the jungle, here it isSpoilerhttps://i.imgur.com/Mj3eu85.jpg - SimmervilleSeasoned AceAwesome map!!! Now, I want to revisit the jungle, as well :)

ROUND 5. SELVADORADA. SUMMER.
after being surrounded by shadowy forests of granite falls your sim finds themself among the bright jungle ✩ they wish to dig up some artefacts, find a treasure and dance the nights away! aspirations to complete: archaeology scholar (main, your sim can write an archaeology skill book in the next location if you don’t want to place a computer in the museum lot), jungle explorer (secondary). note! you can take your sim’s friend to selvadorada by asking them to join your family but you’ll have to remove their money from the family funds and split the profit from selling the artefacts in half using the money cheat. when the trip is over move the friend to a different lot or into the family bin. note!! don’t forget to place the essentials on the renal lot before moving to the world.
