All I can say is that I was very negative towards this until I saw some let's plays. I did buy it this morning.
Basically it seems to be much better done than both it's equivalent in Sims 3 (which I did not regret buying because Martial Arts and all the new plants. I went on vacation once, and that was a horrible horrible experience) as well as the first "holiday pack" for sims 4, which basically was pointless in every way.
