I've had some funny pairings as well in my game, before I turned off random marriages a year or so ago. Also, only married couples have babies, since I really don't want 20-30+ single sims with babies in my game. Makes it difficult to find partners for my own sims. Now I'm putting all those single mothers in a house I made for that purpose, so they don't take up that much space in the world. "I'm sorry, you and your baby do NOT need the biggest penthouse in San Myshuno!"
But yeah, before I turned that feature off, I had maybe 80% gay marriages in my game. Don't mind, I have a few gay married couples myself, but it was getting ridiculous with the male pre-mades marrying randomly generated males.
