Is planting flowers autonomously without flowers or seed packets in the inventory a new thing?

Flower bunny is the one on lots, but I noticed also far off any lot, on public hood ground, quite often I run into sets of two similar plants growing "shoulder by shoulder". I suspect that when seasons change, some plants with crops on might drop some produce to the ground near the mother plant. For a random NPC walking by, it might work as when Bunny drops a flower, so it might get planted. I like seeing those sets of plants, because this is often how plants spread naturally :)

So, while Flower Bunny caused some, also the plants themselves can be the reason.
