- Regarding the gameplay enhancement comment:
- The calender revamps how events are organized
- Plants grow only in specific seasons
- Holidays determine what interactions townies will do
- each world has unique weather patterns that affect how often you can do outdoor activities. For example, outdoor electronics break during rain
- multiple new NPCs with unique interactions
- sims have to wear specific outfits to avoid extreme weather effects
- environmental deaths from freezing and lightning strikes
- ability to sell bouquets and honey for a living
- ice rinks and skate rinks appear in the neighborhoods
- a thermostat changes the temperature inside a house
- evil gnomes can stalk your lots
- scouting provides a new after school event for teens and kids. They will go out for several hours to a scouting event - For me yes, I was getting bored. I have been playing Sims since the beginning and it was missing something and Seasons came along and it filled a little of what was missing. The weather is fun, new interactions/actions added a fun twist. The snow pals are cute, and the shoveling show (not on a sidewalk to porch at least in my game) and at all hours of the day and night crack me up.
- Adding weather really does give a feeling that time is actually passing. I also like how they implemented the different climates in the worlds; you could be in Newcrest and there's a summer storm, then go to San Myshuno or Oasis Springs and there's a heat wave. Living in an area with microclimates it feels quite realistic -- it can be hot as blazes where I live but go about an hour's drive into SF and it's foggy and cool. Might be the best iteration of Seasons in the game history IMO.

I LOVE the different climates! It always takes me by surprise and makes it feel real- I had also stopped playing Sims 4 after my disappointment in the Cats and Dogs EP. Even at half price that pack was a huge ripoff. Seasons brought me back and I have been playing for hours at a time. The pack is not perfect. There are a few bugs that I hope are fixed soon and I am not a fan of how the new clothing system works. But even with a few cons the Seasons EP is a decent pack. I paid full price and I think it was worth every penny.
My game has changed completely. It has brought life back to some aspects of the game I played rarely if at all. Rags to Riches challenges are a lot harder. My sims also leave their home lot more. I am currently having summer break. My family traveled to Willow Creek Park right into a lightning storm. So back into their "imaginary car" they go to travel instead to the desert. I placed a splash pad park there with an ice cream shop. They have also gone camping, bowling, skating, to the arcade and to the zoo (an amazing lot from the gallery). - akl12268 years agoSeasoned AceThis thread has been helpful to me as well. I’ve been on the fence about it because even though I really want it I’ve read about a lot of bugs on here. I just got cats and dogs, which is great but I’m still missing something and I think it’s weather. Seems like even with bugs it’s worth it. So I may be purchasing in the next couple weeks as well. Thank you for this.
- For me I currently have two bugs that annoy me. The first is when sims have multiple actions in the queue and they go to the location of the first but instead of doing it they start walking to the next then I see them teleport back to the first do the actions and back to the seconds. I mostly see this when doing actions that are instant lr have short completion times. The second is where if any sims are at work or school and I travel to another lot all the sims at work or school get sent home.
Overall though I can live with these but do hope they get fixed soon. - I would say yes. It is an expansion pack that will always be in your game, and most likely, you will absolutely enjoy. It has a ton of good CAS and build mode items.

Is it good?
It's the best pack in TS4 to date. If you don't have Seasons your missing out. I love it so good on PC I'm hoping it comes to the consoles as well by December.
What your missing without Seasons and this doesn't even scratch the surface.
Create a Holiday
Holidays eg Sims can actually countdown to New Year's and make resolutions.
Sims can decorate the tree and sing christmas carols.
Gift Giving returns and sims can give a variety of gift types eg birthday, christmas, love day, romantic eg and the gifts even reflect that eg love day or romance gifts have hearts on them.
Sims can open presents similar to the gift giving rug in TS3.
Santa Clause and Easter Bunny Npc's.
Weather activities like make snowangels, snow people, snowball fights, shove snow in face, kiss in the rain and snow, bathe in rain, play in rain etc.
Seasons comes with Kiddie Pools and Sprinklers.
Snow is beautiful when it's falling.
Holiday decorations for Halloween,Thanksgiving,Christmas and Valentine's Day.
Outerwear,soggins,gloves etc.
Lots of new music added to the Winter Holiday Station.
Bee Keeping and so much more."Akl500P;c-16632196" wrote:

I wouldn't worry about the bugs. Most of those will probably be fixed.
