Is swimming available in other worlds too?

No other worlds still don’t have open water swimming, there has been some chatter about the idea from the gurus but nothing has been confirmed.

No matter what I do, I can't get my sims to wade in the water in other worlds.

I wish they updated older worlds.Especially the ones where it makes sense to swim in, aka Brindleton Bay, Granite Falls, Windenburg.

I am sure Windenburg and Granite Falls will get it since they have the same kind of beaches as Sulani .

I haven't really bothered to look since getting Island Living but have found a wading spot in Oasis Springs. I think there was a thread on this when the patch before Island Living came out. I cannot remember the names of the original lots as I've put StrangerVille lots on them now. Look for the river lots.

I think (hope) they will patch swimmable oceans into a few of the worlds eventually, particularly Granite Falls Windenburg, Brindleton Bay and Del Sol Valley.

I was playing on the island in Windenburg just before the IL patch dropped and I did notice that the water changed its appearance noticeably after the patch. Prior to the patch I examined the water, which was opaque and dark blue, and thought to myself that it looked just like paint, that it was only an effect. After the patch, in certain spots, the water now looked like water and was even transparent in a few places, and sure enough those turned out to be places where Sims could wade. If they add depth (which they could easily do, it seems to me) these waters should be swimmable and sailable (with a boat) like the oceans were in TS3.

If they don’t or drag their feet, simmers should just keep pestering them and endlessly asking when swimmable oceans are coming, until they give them to us. It worked with toddlers: initially they suggested we were never getting them, but most simmers would not let them go, and sure enough we got them back, better than ever.

Thanks for the links @catloverplayer .... I still haven't found all the areas I can wade in and that helped :).
General question... Does anyone play a mermaid in these other worlds and can they fill up hydration while wading in these other spots?
