Is the daily task all or nothing?

Do we excatly have daily tasks to do in the Sims 4???? I don't know about that.

It shows up in the career menu. It is not necessarily required, but completion of it supposedly boosts your job performance.

I think it needs to be completed fully to get credit, if I remember correctly. I think you're better off not doing them at all. You could try to get the required emotion as that one might be easier to achieve and you get a boost for that too.

I think you have to complete it. The progress it shows is just visual feedback.

Oh wow. I thought you all were going to say that I will get partial credit. I had a feeling that it was just visual feedback. Darn it. I've been trying to do the required emotion since it is easier but it only lasts 4 hours.

Completing it helps you get promoted.

I try to keep up with the daily task but don't stress if my sim doesn't complete it every day. I do wish the daily task was a bit different every day. For instance in the culinary career the daily task is prepare a meal. I'd like the daily task to require them to prepare a specific meal that would correspond with their cooking skill.

I rarely do daily tasks, I only do promotion tasks and have my sims work hard. Though I think I have a bug because one of my sims for her job had to file paperwork in the computer for the business career but I never did it and it says it’s been completed. And it stays checked off forever, I think it’s suppose to uncheck after work for the next work day.

The required emotion doesn't have to last the whole work day. You will still get a boost for it depending on how long it lasts.

Does your Sim have the Responsible trait? She would have earned that during her childhood/ teen years. When your Sim has this trait, the daily task has already been completed at work, so when your Sim returns home from work, she doesn't have to worry about doing the daily task.
