is the library directly connected to your pc/game?

i had an old laptop that i was playing sims 4 on, i uploaded many sims / homes that i loved to the gallery for protection. Well that laptop crapped out on me and i got a new one..only to find my galle...

They shouldn't disappear from the Gallery. Are you connected to the internet in your game? Make sure you are in the "Community" tab and not "Library" when searching for your stuff on the gallery. :)
