I know that the things with people claiming their shifting their focus to mobile seem have not been brought up for a bit in this, but I thought about it and would like to point out that the popularity mobile games never last.
Also, out of curiousity I looked up the Sims VIP article being mentioned above. It even says that there's no way to confirm that the Reddit user was actually a Sim Guru.
