Is The Sims 4 Endgame?

I left it opened ended but for me the Sims series novelty has worn off and with the Sims 4 controversy surrounding it has not made it any better. Sims 4 is just short of average with a few oohs and ahhs. The reason I say that is because I look at Sims 1 through present and Sims 4 has not evolved as one would think it would or should have. Features was cut and some features for me that was yesteryear features such as loading screens has made an return and the game was supposed to be an mind blast and it is not. All is not boring but it does not leave me with any lasting memories but what is missing form the game and no matter how many items they fill this game with it cannot get beyond an lasting good memory. However, it is in EA/Maxis hands on what they want to do and if anything I look at Sim City 2013 and it is older than the Sims itself and it is now dead. Maybe a good hiatus will do it good and EA/Maxis learn to take advantage of the tech that is abound today and come up with something. Nobody knows not even me if this series is to end.
