Over 70, and see it as shallow, superficial, and simplistic. Like a Christmas tree ornament, pretty on the outside but fragile with nothing inside.TS2 has a nice balance and is a game one plays, not a movie one watches.
To be honest, I find it the opposite, I can't stand TS2's cut scenes, that to me is more like watching haha! And I try to make the Sims do something but their personality gets in the way and they do their own thing... so it's more like I have less say in it and more movie-ish. For example I wanted to start a relationship between two sims but they didn't like each other and no matter how hard I tried I couldn't get them together. Very frustrating, detrimental to my story line, and like a movie, I had no control over it. Sims 4 on the ohter hand I can make them do whatever I want so I can create proper story lines that I invent, it feels more interactive to me as it's me doing creating, not the game. It makes my game play feel more meaningful and it's why I can play for hours on end, where as Sims 2 I get bored with haha.
But then again, I also love Christmas ornaments lol
That all being said, neither game seems "childish" to me.
