Is there a cure for sims unhappy with their homes?

Being much encouraged by the successful help given on my seasons problem am trying again.

A long while ago EA did something, whether in a pack or related patch/update I don't know (around the time of the eco pack, I think), that made sims unhappy with their homes. As in getting repeated uncomfortable moodlets that last 2 hours each. Even when sim is in yard, not the house itself. Doesn't matter if I cobble the rooms myself or use the premade ones. New houses or ones they've lived in for ages.

Anyone out there know of a way to get things at least reasonably close to normal? Not asking for giddy with delight, just no more being uncomfortable.

Thank you all in advance.

It could also be something like a dirty plate inside or trash plant outside, if sims clean it up it goes away instead of growing worse. The only way to find the problem inside is to put the walls up and check anywhere they could have set something down on, be it almost ceiling height shelving or on top of a half wall. Good Luck. :)

Huge thanks! :D I went back to looking after reading your previous post and found it hiding in plain sight, just as your photos show. Never thought to look at the boxes on the right. Game has been rigorously tested for two days and all works just fine. It's a whole new game thanks to your help. Far as I'm concerned, you are the fount of all TS4 wisdom, worthy to be the guru of gurus. Even when I've just been reading a topic you have solved so many problems it's beyond counting.

Not something I ever experienced, maybe an old bug/issue if you don’t update the game? What exactly does the moodlet say?

sim had a renewing uncomfortable +1 lasting for 2 hours. There would be a statement that the house wasn't quite right, something about the walls or floors seemed off. Happened even in houses with top of the line wall treatments, flooring, and furnishings. Just being on the property was enough to trigger it. It was that box that simgirl1010 shows in her shots.

Is the home actually badly decorated, like with drywall showing? When I had that problem in a house I downloaded from the gallery I realized that the gym room had drywall behind the mirrors and once I changed that to a painted wall they stopped complaining. I think if you don't have DHD installed the only things they are supposed to react badly to are the really cheap walls and floors and such.

I think I saw a bug report in the help center about the environmental moodlets appearing even when everything was higher quality. So it could be a bug also.

Nope. Learned way back in TS2 days to make sure to dot my i's and cross my t's when building/decorating. TS2 sims were very efficient at pointing out omissions or things not being up to snuff, house or tinkering with their appearance in the mirror. The animations are priceless!

Well I wouldn't go that far :p but glad to help.
