Is there a some secret sign or plant or something that attracts Vampire to one's home?

Some nights my Sim is visited by three or four or five Vampires at once. She has a death plant growing on her porch. Does that attract Vampires? I planted garlic by the front path, but it doesn't ...

The funniest thing I see in my game from time to time involving vampires and they are sneaking around, you know when they are getting ready to break in, when they show up only to realize there is another vampire already there, or even worst, one of the family members of the household is a vampire.
