Is there a table/stand that lets you sell things on community lots?

I haven't played with that table in a long time. I had mine on my own lot. Started yard sale (is there also a "tend table" or something you need to do?). 4-5 sims came up to the table, one bought something then they all left. After also helping themselves to anything in my sims house. I learned to lock doors.
