I got this bug too! It only happened to me twice and only during a challenge where I had to turn off mods and cc and force myself to play a vanilla game. I was living in Sulani and had befriended Makoa. One day he came over to visit but wouldn't leave! I had no option to ask him to leave either. As a joke I declared "if he doesn't leave in 24 sim hours I'm gonna start hitting on him." He ended up staying at my house for 3 days! I even left the lot and came back, went to Manage Households etc... he was still there, waiting. By the time he finally did leave he was my boyfriend and soulmate, lol. I also convinced him to leave Liliana.
It happened again with Gavin Richards a sim week or so later. By day 2 though I actually realized I could just switch to Gavin's household so I did and just made him go home. Should've done that with Makoa, I guess.. ? Wasn't planning to wreck any homes but if opportunity knocks, I answer!
