Is there a way to make the prom building load the prom stuff for young adults and adults?

idk about auditorium since I have not tried
but you could always decorate another lot with the prom items if it does not work
or, can they visit the auditorium in its normal state?
you maybe could decorate that for prom?

@catloverplayer You could save your current default auditorium und the prom auditorium to your library.
Then place the prom auditorium on the default auditorium lot, because your Sims can visit the default auditorium anytime they want.
This way you can play the Love Day Event, and after that you can place the default version of the auditorium again for the normal High School gameplay.

The auditorium has multiple subtypes within the single lot. Like the community spaces in Eco Lifestyle. Once you arrive at the lot for the dance, you can open build mode, click in the top left to access the different subtypes. I think it's a normal subtype, prom subtype, career day subtype, and graduation subtype, each of which can be customized. No need to replace from the library.

All lot types can be freely costomized in Build Mode, but when we change to live mode it automatically changes to the first auditorium lot type. We sadly can't switch between the different lot types in live mode. Only when prom is happening, we can play on the prom lot type. It's the same with graduation and career day.

That is the difference between the Eco Living Community Spaces, because we can play in each of them whenever we wish.

I learned this when I wanted to playtest my versions of the different Auditorium types. The first one I could playtest anytime, but the 3 other ones I either had to wait till the actual event was happening or place the 3 subtypes on the first slot to be able to playtest them.

Oh my mistake @mrs_starkey , I must have misremembered how it worked.

What I do is go to the auditorium when not in use, go to build mode, change it to prom, then save it to my library, then I place that build somewhere in the world as a nightclub (or whatever works for you). I did this for a legacy challenge, I wanted my sims to have a high school reunion dance.

@mightysprite No problem, I myself confuse things all the time. XD This one I just remembered because I tried and tried changing the subtypes of the auditorium and it always failed. It was so frustrating, until I figured out the workaround with placing the subtypes on the main auditorium lot. :smile:

@Lenny_Ogg I'm so sorry that you had to do the changes all over again. :s I think it's irritating that the lot changes back after the time for prom/graduation/career day is up, even if the Sims are still on the lot in the middle of celebrating. I don't like that.

That is the reason why I did not play the official prom for my Teenage Sims. I played my own prom, without the actual event. This way I could play on the auditorium lot as long as I want.
