Is there a way to pick the roommate you want?
I want my sim's best friend to be her roommate, but I don't want add her to my family. I just want her as a roommate so I don't have to control her. Is this possible?

You should be able to. As long as you have a room for her and you have university, then you can send out a roommate request online and there's an option when you click on the friends Sim that says "roommate" I believe and you can ask them to be a roommate. They might decline, but I've only done it a couple times.
