I guess it depends on how upsetting you feel it would be for you personally to lose a bunny or fox. I will say, I've played through a little over a full sims year living in the Bramblewood neighborhood without ever being dragged to a grim reaper scene. However, I did probably spend about half the year accidentally deleting foxes (probably including some elder foxes) that I thought were weird townies because of that glitchy thing that's happening with their thumbnails in household management. So I don't know how representative my experience is.
