I'm sure I saw a post from a modder the other day which said there is a way to flag certain actions to not be performed if it is not on their home lot, so I would have thought EA could set this sort of behaviour to not happen when visiting.
It's kind that sims will help you out, but if you're sat chatting to your friends it is very jarring when one will suddenly get up and go and empty your bins.
