Is there a way to un-dead a sim?

I have a save in which the welcome wagon was 1 local sim who was very sad. Most of the welcome time was spent trying to cheer her up, which was not successful. After that was over went to play her household to find out what was wrong. She and the two kids were all very sad because husband/father had died. There was no urn or tombstone anywhere on the property. No signs of a catastrophe like a kitchen fire. The game just plain took him out. No ghost in the sim bin. Any ideas or am I stuck?

    Thank you all again, everybody! Was able last night to bring him back using the get ID and summon cheats Flikka_Flikka provided and then tinkering with MCCC and CAS for the relationship restorations. Could do the joining household via gameplay. It took persistence as the cheat window had to be just so and MCCC was cranky about restoring the husband-wife one but all's well now.

    Will add the new suggestions to my notes for future reference just in case. The link provided by Lenny_Ogg provided info on how to learn cause of death, which was 'falling from heights'. The only place I know of where that might happen is Kumarabi, but didn't find anything there, either. All very odd and scary. I hate losing sims, even ones I don't play.

    My packs stop at Cottage Living and kits before that. Everything EA has had since is of zero to negative interest or broken or both. But thank you for your offer, LuvtehGeeks. It's great how the community rallies around to help someone who needs it.
